Print labels

Service Buddy can generate printable labels for products and jobs. Labels include key details — name, price, description, and company info — and can be printed in standard label sizes.

  1. Click Settings in the left sidebar, then click Products & Services (under Company Management).
  2. Click the three-dot menu in the Actions column on the product’s row.
  3. Click Create Label from the dropdown.
  4. In the Create Label dialog:
    • Enter the Print number of label (how many copies to print).
    • Select a Label Size: 2x4, 3x5, or 4x6.
    • Toggle Show Price on or off.
    • Toggle Show Description on or off.
    • Toggle Include custom field details on or off.
  5. Review the label preview.
  6. Click Save & Print.
  1. Open the job from the Jobs list.
  2. Click More Actions in the top-right → Create Label.
  3. In the Create Label dialog, choose your label size and options.
  4. Click Save & Print.
What are printed labels actually used for in a flooring store?

Most retailers use them to mark sample books on the showroom floor, tag carpet rolls in the warehouse with mill + style + size, label hardwood lots or LVP cartons with brand + style + lot/dye-lot number, tag tile boxes with batch info, label area rugs ready for delivery, or attach to crates being shipped to install sites. They’re a fast way to attach Service Buddy’s catalog details to physical inventory.

What label sizes are supported?

2x4, 3x5, and 4x6. Pick one that matches your label printer’s stock. The preview in the Create Label dialog shows how the content will fit before you print.

Should I show price on labels?

Depends on context. Showroom samples often show price (so customers can browse). Warehouse rolls, cartons, and boxes usually don’t (your install crew doesn’t need it, and prices change). Toggle Show Price based on where the label is going.

Can I print labels in bulk?

Use the Print number of label field to print multiple copies of the same label at once. For different products at once (e.g., labeling a whole new shipment), print them one by one — there’s no multi-product batch print today.

What’s on a job label?

Job labels typically include the job number, client name, project name, install address, and any custom field details you’ve toggled on. Useful when staging materials in the warehouse for an upcoming install — the crew can find the right pallet at a glance.

Why does the print preview look off?

Most often a mismatch between the Label Size you picked and the actual stock loaded in the printer. Confirm the printer’s setting matches the size you selected in Service Buddy. Always test print on plain paper before a full batch.

Can I customize the label layout?

The layout is fixed for each size — you can toggle which content appears (price, description, custom fields) but not rearrange the layout. For specialized labels, contact support.
