View the team calendar

The calendar shows every scheduled job and task so you can see availability, spot conflicts, and plan your week at a glance.

Click Calendar in the left sidebar.

Use the view tabs at the top right to change how the calendar is displayed:

  • Month — full month grid.
  • Week — seven days side by side with time slots.
  • Day — one day, hour by hour.
  • List — a compact chronological list of upcoming events.
  • Click Today to jump back to the current date.
  • Use the Previous and Next arrows next to the month name to navigate forward or backward.
  1. Click + Create in the top right.
  2. Select Task or Job from the dropdown.
  3. Fill in the details and save.

Jobs without a scheduled date appear in the Unscheduled jobs panel on the right side of the calendar. Drag one onto a date on the grid to schedule it.

In Week or Day view, you can drag a task or job block to a new time slot:

  1. Click and hold the task or job block.
  2. Drag it to the new time slot.
  3. Release to save the new time.
Which view should I use day-to-day?

Most retailers use Week view as the default — it shows enough horizon to spot conflicts but enough detail to manage hour-by-hour. Day is best for the morning install briefing; Month is best for capacity planning and seeing busy weeks at a glance.

Can I filter the calendar by employee or location?

Yes — use the filter controls above the calendar to scope to specific installers, sales associates, or store locations. Useful when you have multiple crews or branches and you only want to see one slice.

What’s the Unscheduled panel for?

It’s where jobs and tasks without dates queue up. As soon as you confirm a date with the install team or the client, drag the item from Unscheduled onto a time slot on the calendar — that schedules it.

Can I see other people’s tasks, or only mine?

Depends on your access level. Admin, Admin Staff, and Office Staff see the whole team’s calendar. Field Worker Staff (measurers) and Installer see only the jobs and tasks assigned to them — helpful for keeping crews focused on their day.

Why are some calendar entries different colors?

Each job has an optional Calendar Color you set when creating or editing it. Many retailers use colors to flag job types (installs in blue, measures in green, deliveries in yellow) so the week’s mix is readable at a glance.

Can I export the calendar to Google Calendar or Outlook?

Service Buddy itself manages the schedule, but if you’ve connected a calendar integration in SettingsIntegrations, scheduled jobs sync to your external calendar. See Connect your calendar.

What happens if I drag a job and break a double-booking?

Service Buddy doesn’t block double-bookings — the new time saves whether or not it conflicts. Always glance at the calendar after a drag to confirm the new slot is open for the assigned installer.
